Term 2 - Week 8

Jacey brought in her gymnastics medal to show us.
"I won the medal because I came third in the gymnastics
competition in Blenheim on Sunday"
" I had to do the beam, the bars, the vault, and the floor".
" I was nervous before the prizegiving
and when I got my medal I felt happy"

Well done Jacey and Maddie. Taking part in that competition took lots of courage and dedication, we are so proud of you both!!!!

Term 2 - Week 7

 The cosmodome visited our school!
"We learned about the planets and stars in our solar system.
We watched a video about what it would
be like to live on the moon.
I wouldn't like to live on the moon because if you came back to earth then your bones and muscles
would be too weak for Earth's gravity.
I would really miss the trees and the sea".
By Sophia
Stella made a model of Venus
"For an astronaut Venus would be a nightmare....it has yellow poisonous gas clouds, the gravity would crush you in seconds and it's surface temperature is about 5oo degrees Celsius!"
By Stella

We started researching for our Solar System projects.

Term 2 - Week 6

We practised putting the planets in order by making
little solar systems.
We also made up silly sentences to help us remember them.
Mrs Pearson takes Te Reo lessons on Fridays.
We learned phrases to describe different feelings.
