We carried out a science experiment to see if it was possible to push a skewer through a balloon without popping it.
The secret is to use dish-washing liquid..or vegetable oil, and to place the skewer where the rubber is thickest.
The pictures below show our results!
"We mixed baking soda (alkaline) and vinegar (acid) to see what the reaction would be.
The balloon inflated because when baking soda and vinegar mixed and bubbled it made a gas called carbon dioxide which made the balloon inflate. We enjoyed doing it because it was messy and exciting" Emily
"We used balance scales to see if different things weighed the same.
We could see which thing was heavier and which one was lighter....
Mr Pearson's shoe was lighter than Madeleine's" - Jacey
Mr Pearson held an art lesson for the other teachers....
most of them managed to behave.
