Term 1 - Week 4

 Marshmallow Maths!

We have been studying 3D shapes

so we made a few using marshmallows and toothpicks.

 

 Nothing beats a fun swim on a hot Friday!

 

 

 We had our swimming sports.

It was the first year that the year 3 students have been involved.

Well done all swimmers!

 It takes a bit of courage to lead the class through the lyrics of a new song.

We have some amazing singers in our room.

 Our Rainbow Fish have made one of our walls a lot more interesting.

Term 1 - Week 3

 We have had a few transformations in our class

as our caterpillars become butterflies and our

tadpoles begin to change into frogs.

 We have been using games like 'rocket race and '21' 

to improve the speed and accuracy of our addition skills.

 

The ipad is another useful tool during maths as it has games 

like 'maths-slide'where you have to be the quickest to 

slide the answer that matches the image.

Term 1 - Week 2

 We read a story about the rainbow fish.

It had good messages about being kind to others and sharing.

Then we drew and coloured our own Rainbow fish.

Come in and see them on our wall!

 We read a lot in Room 4.

Sometimes we read to each other, sometimes quietly by ourselves, 

and sometimes in groups with our big books 

or guided reading books.  

We read for fun and to find out about things.
